Pump / Reservoir Combo
A pump reservoir combo simplifies your custom liquid cooling loop by integrating the coolant storage and circulation pump into a single, compact unit. Instead of sourcing and mounting these two components separately, you get a cleaner build with fewer fittings, less tubing, and a more streamlined installation. Whether you're building your first custom loop or upgrading an existing setup, a pc water cooling pump and reservoir combo is a practical choice for managing space and reducing complexity.
What to look for in a pump/reservoir combo unit
Browse the spec sheet for these units to ensure you’ve got what you need.
- Form factor: Are you looking for a radiator-shaped unit or a true vertical tank-based reservoir?
- Compatibility: Make sure it’ll work with your cooling, tubing, and the rest of your water cooling system.
- Hydraulic performance and type: Dial in the pressure and functionality of the pump built-in.
- Design: Go for RGB LEDs or a screen if you want something flashy and fun.
What does a reservoir do in a water cooling system, and do you need one?
With all of the options for all-in-one water cooling units and dedicated block components, you may think that a full-on reservoir/pump combo isn’t necessary for a water cooling system. While at the most basic level, a reservoir doesn’t have to be a dedicated component, it’ll make it much easier to ensure that you have enough coolant in your system and that you can easily replace and flush the system. The pump part of the equation is also crucial as it guarantees there’s enough pressure to push the coolant through the cycle. CORSAIR’s reservoir/combo units are designed to work seamlessly with the rest of our iCUE control-equipped water cooling components.
